SHANE PURCELL:\nDr. Shane Purcell is a family medicine physician in Anderson\, South Carolina. Dr. Purcell is a founding member of the DPC Alliance and currently serves as a member of its Advisory Committee. He began his medical education at Mercer University School of Medicine in Georgia and completed his family medicine residency at AnMed Health in Anderson. After 14 years of working in private practice and owning an urgent care center\, Dr. Purcell left traditional Fee-For-Service medicine to start a direct primary care clinic with business partner\, and has employed the DPC model since 2015. He has authored several books\, including Magic\, Pixie Dusts\, and Miracles: A Guide for Direct Primary Care and Employers and Good Care Feels Different.
