Dr. Chad Savage of DPC Action joined Benjamin Rush Institute post-election on Thursday, November 5 to talk about why the free market solution to healthcare is the right solution. Check it out below.

Chad Savage, MD founded YourChoice Direct Care in 2015, one of the first Direct Primary Care (DPC) practices in the State of MI. He has been an active advocate of the DPC model of care, Free Markets in Medicine and Patient Empowerment at both the State and national level. He adopted the DPC model of care to focus on his patients’ needs without worrying about meeting unproven requirements set by insurance companies and Medicare.

Dr. Savage graduated from the University of Michigan prior to receiving his M.D. from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio. He completed his residency training at Washington University School of Medicine and Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO where he became skilled in the management of complex medical disorders. Dr. Savage has been in practice since 2003 and was involved in physician leadership through the St. John Providence hospital system prior to starting his DPC practice in 2015.

He has written extensively with Op-Eds in regional and national publications such as The Hill, Investors Business Daily, Real Clear Health, American Thinker and many others. He has also been featured in various news articles, radio shows and public speaking forums.

Dr. Savage is a member of the Michigan State Medical Society Legislative Committee, is a Healthcare Policy Advisor for the Heartland Institute and Healthcare Policy Fellow at the Docs4Patient Care Foundation and on the Board of Directors of DPC Action.. He is an assistant professor at Wayne State University School of Medicine and is duel board certified in Internal Medicine from both the ABIM and NBPAS.
