Marian University — BRI Euchre Tournament Fundraiser

Take a break from studying, eat some food, play some Euchre ... maybe talk about healthcare innovations, ethics, economics, or policy?

The MUCOM BRI Chapter Euchre Tournament will be a fundraising/charity event. Each team will be charged $10 to enter the tournament, $5 for individuals. 50% of the tournament entrance fees will go to the winning team's charity of choice, PLUS eternal bragging rights for having won the first ever MUCOM Euchre Tournament! The other 50% will go to the MUCOM BRI Chapter to fund future speakers and events.

Open to all students, faculty, friends, parents, grandparents, etc. Pick your best Euchre partner(s)!

Tournament details: There will be 30 minutes of pool play to allow people to warm up or learn how to play. We will then proceed into a single elimination tournament.

Registration: Please register before the day of the tournament. Team name, team members, $10, name of charity for donation. Individuals: Your name, $5.

BRI-SUNY Downstate will be listed on gofundme.com, and hosting a free information and donation table outside the cafeteria to raise funds for this very deserving non-profit organization that contributes back to our community. East Flatbush Village (EFV) works with local at-risk youth to help them better their lives. SUNY Downstate and BRI both encourage student leaders to give back to the community and to those in need through charitable work. Please stop by our table and contribute what you can!

The Marian University College of Osteopathic Medicine - BRI Chapter will be pairing up with the Thomas More Society and Operation Leftover to meet and serve the homeless and impoverished in Indianapolis. We will meet at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church to take canned foods, warm clothing, personal hygiene items, and other appropriate donations to people in need around downtown Indianapolis.

ALL are welcome and invited to join us in an evening of service. Donations are also appreciated.

We will meet at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church to take canned foods, warm clothing, personal hygiene items, and other appropriate donations to people in need around downtown Indianapolis. Last year we had 50 volunteers join us! Please help us make it an even bigger, better event this year!

The BRI-OUHCOM chapter, in collaboration with the Christian Medical Association and the Student American Academy of Osteopathy. will be serving breakfast to guests staying at the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Ohio, the largest house is the world.

Park in lot of 17th street, ring buzzer at gate for entrance. Buzz in at front door and say you are with OUHCOM and cooking breakfast.

University of Alabama @ Birmingham—CHARITY EVENT: Holiday Clothing Drive

BRI UAB clothing drive

All are encouraged to participate in a month-long charity clothing drive. UAB BRI is holding a holiday season clothing drive for the benefit of the less fortunate residents of the Birmingham area. We are accepting new and used clothes and linens.

At the end of the drive, UAB BRI will declare which UAB Learning Community donated the most items!

Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine|Dublin—VOLUNTEERING EVENT: Faith Mission Homeless Shelter|Cooking Dinner @ Faith Mission Homeless Shelter

Faith Mission operates the only kitchens in Franklin County able to serve breakfast, lunch and dinner every day of the year. We serve more than 600 meals a day (over 220,000 meals per year). The Faith Mission Community Kitchen serves our shelter residents as well as individuals from the community who need a meal, welcoming everyone, and placing no barriers between a person in need and available food.

Chabad of Columbus, Synagogue/Community Center 6220 E Dublin Granville Rd, New Albany, OH, United States

LifeTown is an educational facility that simulates real-life encounters such as banking, shopping, crossing the street, etc, for people with mental disabilities. BRI, in conjunction with students at OUHCOM, will be volunteering in the various booths to help teach these people how to succeed at life tasks.

Information from RSVP form: You need to do a background check via https://chabadcolumbus.volunteerhub.com, but this can be filled out later once we get more information on this part! Casual dress and no ripped jeans. Each volunteer will be role playing. Look at www.lifetowncolumbus.org to get a small taste of what LifeTown is!
