From Dr. Eberl’s webpage:

“I primarily conduct research concerning the implications of Thomas Aquinas’s metaphysical account of human personhood and natural law ethics to various issues in bioethics. I also have interests in philosophy of religion, virtue ethics, and philosophy of mind. I graduated with my Ph.D. from Saint Louis University….more

Please RSVP to ensure enough food and refreshments for all.

POST-EVENT SUMMARY: An intimate group of six (6) students got to hear Dr. Eberl’s personalized lecture on a natural right o healthcare. Dr. Jason Eberl, Semler Endowed Chair for Medical Ethics at MUCOM, talked about his research and the healthcare proposal he wrote for the state of Indiana in the early 2000’s. Because it was a smaller group, we discussed our views about whether we considered health and healthcare a natural right. We also talked about the problems of translating ethics into policy. It was a great talk, and the all the people that attend enjoyed what was discussed.
