BRI Dr. Josh UmbehrThe BRI chapter will also  be talking about DPC and concierge medicine. The student from our school who went to the FMMA Conference will report about what he learned at the amazing opportunity.

Thanks to wonderful modern technology, Dr. Josh Umbehr from AtlasMD—with two Kansas locations—will join us via Skype for a lecture and Q&A on Direct Primary Care (DPC) and concierge medicine.

Dr. Umbehr is considered one of the foremost pioneers in DPC, and we are proud to host him for this informational event.

Dr. Umbehr will be joined by Andrew Widener, BRI chapter founder and president, who will lead a discussion, and Luke Kennedy, who will share his experiences from attending the Free Market Medical Association-Houston chapter conference.

Please RSVP within 48 hours of the event to ensure enough food for all.

POST-EVENT SUMMARY: Ten students attended. Dr. Umbehr presented about the Direct Primary Care model and used AtlasMD as an example of how DPC can be a successful and innovative way to deliver high quality healthcare. He then took questions from the audience filled with many inquisitive medical students about the specifics of his practice along with its strengths and limitations.

Andrew Widener then presented a PowerPoint lecture about DPC and surveyed the students about their knowledge before and after the presentation. Luke Kennedy as gave his unique perspective from what he learned at the Free Market Medical Association-Houston chapter conference.
