SUMMARY:BRI in the Buckeye State: A Conversation with Rea Hederman
DESCRIPTION:BRI in the Buckeye State: A Conversation with Rea Hederman\n Ohio’s health care system has undergone rapid consolidation over the past decade\, with large\, vertically-integrated conglomerates absorbing independent practices at a rapid rate. Rural hospitals have been hit especially hard\, facing mounting financial and operational strain as local access to care continues to erode. What policymakers do next will shape the future of the Buckeye State's health landscape and directly impact physicians for years to come.\n\nJoin us for a conversation with Rea Hederman\, Executive Director of the Economic Research Center and Vice President of Policy at the Buckeye Institute. We'll be putting health policy through a fine-toothed comb and exploring both the challenges and opportunities for medical students and future practitioners in Ohio. \n \n \n Name(Required)\n \n \n First\n \n \n \n \n Last\n \n \n \n Email(Required)\n \n Questions / CommentsDo you have a question for our speaker? SUMMARY:BRI in the Buckeye State: A Conversation with Dr. Leila Javidi
DESCRIPTION:BRI in the Buckeye State: A Conversation with Leila Javidi\n Direct Primary Care and Direct Specialty Care are rapidly gaining traction across the country. Nationally\, DPC enrollment has surged over the past decade\, growing by more than 800% since 2017 as demand for transparent\, relationship-based care continues to accelerate. Yet despite this momentum\, Ohio is presently home to a relatively small number of DPC/DSC practices. But it won't be this way for long.\n\nJoin us for a conversation with Dr. Leila Javidi of Rebel + Thrive DPC\, one of Ohio’s most outspoken advocates for the direct care movement and a widely followed physician voice on TikTok. We’ll explore why more physicians are rejecting the status quo\, what makes the DPC model so appealing to both doctors and patients\, and what it actually takes to build an independent practice from the ground up. \n \n \n Name(Required)\n \n \n First\n \n \n \n \n Last\n \n \n \n Email(Required)\n \n Questions / CommentsDo you have a question for our speaker?
