March 23, 2015 @ 5:15 pm - 6:00 pm

Free

NOTE: This event takes place from 5:15 – 6:00 pm EST (Indianapolis).

Lecture: Dr. Timothy Von Fange, MD, Family Practice and Sports Medicine,  will be speaking on the medical innovations in sports medicine, and how those innovations could not take place without the free market. He will also be speaking on the differences between primary care and specialized healthcare in sports medicine.

The event is free but please RSVP.

Event Summary:

Dr. Von Fange lectured on the free market in his profession of Sports Medicine. He talked about problems with insurance reimbursement, controlled markets, and different models of payment. With 22 attending, we broke the record for a BRI event at MUCOM. The topic of the lecture was great and exposed students to several important aspects of medical practice of which they were not aware prior to the talk.
