Dr. Josh Umbehr addresses the BRI Student Leadership Conference 2015 in Washington, DC.
Dr. Umbehr will talk to students about his direct primary care business model during a lunch meeting. RSVP is not required. The plan is to give students exposure to and a better understanding of direct primary care. This will prepare them for the ensuing debate that evening about the single-payer health care model. Food provided for this event is generously funded by the Family Medicine Interest Group. Thank you!
Peter Viccellio, MD, Clinical Director of the Emergency Department at Stony Brook, will be debating Francis S. Stellaccio, MD, Associate Professor of Anesthesiology, on the proper role of government in health care and on the effects of the ACA.

Dr. Timothy Law will be talking about his practice as a rural medical practitioner. He will be discussing his work with the Amish community and how he has formed a very successful rural practice built on a medical fee for service model. Dr. Law is a Assistant Professor and Medical Director for CTRU, & SHAPe as well as a Associate Director of Rural and Urban Scholars Pathway.
Chicago Medical School at Rosalind Franklin University BRI Chapter is pleased to host a lecture presentation with Dr. Beth Haynes. We will discuss what is & isn't insurance and why we will never control healthcare costs until this is understood. Pizza and sandwiches will be served. Come learn what tactics are working with students and are applicable to a much broader audience.
